Cory’s handmade sheath is true craftsmanship.

Over the years, some of my favorite gifts have been handcrafted and functional, this handmade leather sheath from Ruthless Outdoors is a perfect example. Handcrafted by Cory Routh in Virgina, he takes create pride and care in each piece. Cory makes a sheath that is compatible with most every plier on the market.

Cory repurposes old fly line for stitching giving old lines new life and keeping them out of the landfills.

Each sheath is made to order. You choose the artwork, leather material, colors, and stitching colors. After choosing the artwork, Cory hand tools the artwork and then gets started on putting all the pieces together. Cory hand stitches each sheath repurposing old used fly lines giving them new life and getting them out of the landfills. Another cool customization is whether you want to wear the sheath on a regular beltloop or have a kydex clip. The whole process was seamless and Cory was great to work with.

The belt loop is integrated right into the leather and it sits perfectly on my hip.
